Yes! The Modern Colonial Planters are molded with a double wall design that creates an internal water reservoir.

Add a few inches of lightweight filler to the bottom of the planter. We recommend lava rock, mulch or wood chips. The filler should take up at least one-fourth to one-third of your pot, so you will need to make sure it’s healthy for your plants and able to stand the test of time. Adding a filler into the bottom of your pot first reduces the amount of potting mix required and encourages faster root growth.

We recommend filling your new planter with a potting mix and leave approximately 2-3 inches from the rim. You can fin the volume of each planter on each items product page
